Knead-a-Mold, Townsend Atelier's easy and versatile two-part silicone mold making putty was used to make gorgeous custom molds in a cake feature for the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. Cake artist and designer, Wendy Kromer used Knead-a-Mold to make molds from highly detailed wooden architectural ornaments in a variety of neoclassical motifs. White fondant was then pressed into the molds and placed on the tiers to create an elegant and one-of-a-kind cake. |
With Knead-a-Mold, custom molds can be made for an infinite number of objects and textures. Once a mold is made, a variety of materials can be cast into the molds including resins, air-dry clays, paper clay, polymer clay, low melt metals, plaster, wax, soap, chocolate, fondant and more! Easy to use, non-toxic and versatile, Knead-a-Mold is used by artists and crafts people around the globe including sculptors, jewelers, doll makers, puppet makers, candle makers, architectural and frame restorers, and culinary artists.
